Here are six reasons to choose Lake Como for your next conference or corporate event.

Accessibility to airports

Lake Como is conveniently located near three international airports; Milan Malpensa, Milan Linate and Bergamo Orio al Serio.

If your plan your event on the western shore of Lake Como, in towns such as Como, Cernobbio or Moltrasio, the Malpensa airport is your best option.  It’s approximately 50 km from the main terminal. Transfer vans and busses can easily be booked in advance for your guests.  Linate airport is also a good alternative as it is only about 65 km away. The Bergamo Orio al Serio airport is slightly further, a distance of 87 km.

If you are planning to hold a conference on the eastern shore of Lake Como, in towns such as Lecco, Erba, Varenna or Colico, the Linate and Bergamo Orio al Serio airports are the best options. For example, Linate to Lecco is 54 km and from Bergamo Orio al Serio it’s only 40 km. From Malpensa to the eastern shore is 75 km.

Unique venues

Lake Como offers a host of venues suitable for both small or large groups. Imagine hosting your corporate team building event at a rustic farmhouse or a conference for 200 people at a castle which dates back to medieval times or an eighteenth century villa that was once a monastery. If luxury and impeccable service is what you are looking for, 18th century villas and five-star hospitality along our shores are abundant. Whether you are looking for an intimate gathering place or a serviced conference hall, you will certainly find a MICE facility to suit your needs here at Lake Como.

Italian creativity

Our reputation precedes us, Italians are known for style and creativity. Take advantage of this precious commodity and put it to work to impress your conference attendees and guests. Extraordinary landscapes

We don’t need to tell you how beautiful and enchanting Lake Como is, travel guidebooks and magazines have already done that. What we can do, however, is let you experience Lake Como with a local. The captivating shoreline of Lake Como hides so many little gems. By visiting the towns of Varenna or Bellagio or doing a private wine tasting at a world-renowned wine producer with a local expert, guests will go home with fond memories. It’s a perfect way to form better relationships with your business partners and clients or create a better bond with your team members.

Centuries of cultural heritage

The Vezio Castle in Varenna dates back to 1169 AD, the origins of the Abby of Piona go as far back as the VII century. Italy’s best reserved WWI fortification and museum, Forte Montecchio, is located in Colico and one of Europe’s highest bell towers is in Lecco. The Celts and the Romans all passed through this region of northern Italy leaving behind traces of their daily lives which archaeologists are still discovering even today. Having learned something new through the eyes of history, your guests will go home with a new vision of the world, and perhaps even with new ideas and concepts.
