Are tours offered only in English?

At the current time our tours are in English but we can cater for groups of at least 4 adults in Italian, please check with us for other language availability.

What if I have dietary restrictions or food allergies?

Please send us an email about your dietary restrictions or food allergies when you purchase your ticket. We shall try to adjust the tour in accordance to your needs. Please note we will not take responsibility for any damage caused by tastings due to allergies and dietary restrictions. But remember our tours are not only about food, but also about history, culture, wonderful views… and about being together and meeting local people!

How much walking is involved on the tours?

Our tours are designed for any capability and for families. Walking tours are held mostly in quiet flat areas and at a friendly pace. As to mountain tours, chosen locations are reachable with the car or the jeep and if you do not feel like taking long Wanders you will not have to. Optional guided trekkings in the mountains instead are suggested for good walkers.

Are the tours wheelchair and baby stroller accessible?

Our Como and Lecco food tours are both wheelchair and baby stroller friendly and accessible. Contact us regarding the other tours.

Can the children take the tours and what is the price for children?

Children of all ages can take our tours and are very welcome! We have discount price tickets for both youth and children.

How many people can take the tours?

The minimum number of people is 2 and the maximum is 15.

Are private tours available?

Yes! We offer private tailor made group tours. Email us at info@lakecomofoodtours.com to inquire about availability and pricing.

Are cameras permitted on the tour?

Cameras are not only permitted…photos are absolutely encouraged! Please publish them on our FB page and TAG US!

Can I shop on the tour?

Normally we ask you to refrain from shopping since we have to keep to a precise schedule. However our selected vendors will be very please to satisfy any of your requests at the end of the tour.

What is Lake Como Food Tours’ Cancellation Policy?

If you need to cancel, full refunds are available until 1 week prior tour date. No refunds will be issued after that date. Please contact us at info@lakecomofoodtours.com for any cancellation request.

Are the walking tours given in bad weather?

All our walking tours are held rain or shine. As to other tours, please contact us for more information.

Do I have to book in advance? Can I just arrive and pay cash?

All tickets should be purchased on our website or through us in advance, walk-ups or cash sales are also welcome.

Can I feel comfortable with providing my credit card details?

Payment is made through a secure payment system called STRIPE, a global leader in online purchases due to its transaction security policy. We will not receive your credit or prepaid card details.

May I tip the guide?

It is not mandatory but if you are especially satisfied and wish to tip your guide, feel welcome to.

Where can I leave comment on the tour?

You can leave comments on our social networks, please “like” our Facebook page and post your tour photos. A review on Tripadvisor is also greatly appreciated.
